The All Star League has annually awarded a MVP trophy. The
qualification for this award has differed over the years. The first
three years, it was determined by a league vote. The next year, a
mathematical formula was developed to determine MVP. The 1994-95
season the formula was changed to:
(Average*Win%)+Games, where the winning percentage
was calculated by Points/(WeeksBowled*5). This
process is still being refined. The 1995-96 season uses the same
formula with one additional stipulation. During that season, the MVP had to come from a
playoff
team. For 1996/97 season, the league eliminated the playoff team
stipulation. For 2002/2003 season, the award is purely traditional as the
winner will be immortalized here and on the champions plaque at the bowling
center.
