ENOUGH is ENOUGH

Greetings Fellow ALABAMA Bowlers!!!

For the past few weeks I have seen a column on here that just really irritates me every time I see the name posted. I have seen complaints about bowling ball manufacturer, I have seen complaints about the USBC, I have even seen one article which went so far as to suggest using a House Ball for complicated lanes. Now I see a ranting about a lane that has a different number of dots on it? ENOUGH we get it you speak for all the injustice in the bowling industry and we know you love Columbia 300 and thank you for telling us about Storm Scented bowling balls 6 months after they were on Good Morning America but where does it end furthermore why do we in this state care about the Iowa games? But I will be glad to answer your question about an extra dot learn to count the boards and if you are the YABA Coach then teach your bowlers how many boards are on a lane and that way they will recognize when there is an Extra Dot. I have had it with this guy. If my rants have sounded like his column please accept my sincerest apology. I have tried to be insightful on things happening in the state of Alabama and regional tournaments but give me a break dude! You say you represent the voice of Women Online to me it sounds like you represent a spoiled child with all that whining! Honestly, I have never read such infuriating jibberish in all my life. I dismissed his crack at Storm saying they didn’t care, which he later retracted I even laughed at the comment that he needed to buy a Ball Spinner. When you start whining that you will not play in a tournament anymore because of an extra dot, you show yourself to be a novice and hardly someone who should be commenting as An expert or “Voice” of our sport. And frankly sir, I am not sure how many people in Alabama actually care about the Iowa Games. I understand why any article is put on the site that involves bowling. I am not for censorship but I have written this person and taken him to task on two different articles he has not responded. It is a waste of space to have his column here but hey it is about bowling so at least we have some filler. By the way will someone PLEASE bid on the bowling alley for sale!!!

Climbing down off that soap box and on to another about the summer which starts with a question? Why is no one bowling on Monday Night at Holiday this year? That was a fun little tournament, more fun than a league and definitely good money for a small investment. Last year there was 15- 20 people a night bowling this year, the one time I bowled there was 8 people. So I am as much to blame for not being there as everyone else I know my reason and I am not afraid to say it. I felt like based on the conditions we played on during the city and Strawberry it would be easier for me to read War and Peace and write a thesis than trying to figure out that lane condition. It was fair and I will not say that it wasn’t but when you are the lone lefthander on a flood you are not going to be in deep trouble. We are talking 520 trouble, I know I scored it in the Strawberry. In a scratch tournament 550 will be good enough to determine how much each game of practice just cost you because you sure will not be a factor in the out come of the tournament. So that’s my reason, but what happened to everyone else? I am asking for a response please not for myself but for Vladamir Harvey, because he will listen and he will try to make things better. I personally think if the tournament rotated every week that would help get more people from the different centers bowling. Eventually, people like Val will stop having these tournaments and we will not have any then we can complain that we have nothing to bowl in. Case in point when was the last Magic City 8 game Marathon? Better question will there ever be another one?

There is a tournament this weekend at Super Bowl, next week there is a TNBA Tournament at Vestavia and the week after that is the Big Step Ladder at Riverview. Try to support these, without your support they will cease to exist and the Birmingham and Alabama bowling community has enough strong players to that never show up for any tournament to make these a huge success. I don’t know about you but I could use $1,000 or $1,500 or $2,000. Some genius out there just said to themselves why does he want people to show up, it should make it easier for him to win (yuck, yuck) The reason is as the same as always “To be the Man you have to beat the Man”!!

Until Next Time….Wheh, Wheh Wheh….Oh there must be a new Bella Article to laugh at…
