STEPLADDER REPORT

The Stepladder Report from the End of the season Members Only Tournament. This will be a monthly report not a column and nothing TOO controversial.

Joe German was undecided on coming down for the Members Only
Tournament on Sept. 16th. The ride over from Atlanta paid off for him. He defeated Bradley Olson and Don Chappelear in the final round on Saturday. Lets face it was carry contest and Joe carried well.

The meeting was held prior to the tournament and a lot of things are changing for next year. There will be a Scratch Side Pot. If you have bowled in the tournament and whether you qualify or not you can bowl doubles only as usual but you will also be able to bowl for the Scratch Series pot. As pointed out the lineage is already being paid by the doubles only and this will only help to build the individual prize funds for each. In this season of the Stepladder there will not be a Members Only tournament at the end. The idea this year is to divide the bowlers into teams. You will be placed on teams when you enter your first tournament. There will be three teams Red Team, Green Team and Blue Team. You must bowl in 4 events become eligible for team prize money. The prize breakdown will be: 1st-55% 2nd-30% 3rd- 15%

The Proposed Point System will be as follows:

Make The Cut - 200
Make Top 10 500
1st pl 10,000
2nd - 5,000
3rd - 3,000
4th - 2,000
5th - 1,000
6th -10th 500
11th- 20th 200
21st- 30th 100

Additional points can be won for honor scores:
800 2,000
300 1,000
299 500
298 450
11 in a row 400

You are only awarded points for a 299/298 or 11 in a row.
