Birth certificate, AHSAA eligibility list, Military I.D. and/or driver’s license are acceptable proof-of-age documents. Do not mail or hand-deliver any proof-of-age documents to the Alabama Sports Festival. The coach/participants should have proof-of-age documents on hand at the event site. In case of eligibility disputes, lack of proper documentation will result in disqualification of individual participants and/or team. Event Rules and Format This is an American Bowling Congress (ABC), Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC) and Young American Bowling Alliance (YABA) sanctioned tournament. Average - All bowlers will use their current league averages (highest average if in more than one league) as of May 1, 2004, based on 21 games or more. Those without an average will bowl in the upper division. Caution: Reporting of incorrect averages may be cause for disqualification. All bowlers must have proof of average. Youth Division - Youth participants must not be members of ABC or WIBC. This will be a SCRATCH tournament. Boys and girls will bowl three games in the first round of the tournament. The top six bowlers will advance to the Medal Round for six head-to-head matches. Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and top three girls in each division. YABA rules will apply. Adult and Senior Divisions - Event open to all adult bowlers age 22 and over (including youths who bowl in adult leagues). This will be a SCRATCH tournament. Men and women will bowl three games in the first round of the tournament. The top six will advance to the Medal Round for six head-to-head matches. Medals will be awarded to the top three men and top three women in each division. ABC/WIBC rules will apply. Awards Individual Alabama Sports Festival State Games Medal awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each event. Team Team award for the 1st place team in each of the four youth divisions. Teams, from Bowling Centers across the state, bowl for team championships in four divisions-550 and under, 551-600, 601-650 and 651 and over. Team awards provided by AMF.
