The Tuscaloosa USBC Association will add $500.00 to the Team Event Prize Fund for this tournament if at least 40 team entries are entered to bowl.
Lanes are limited—so advance entries are encouraged to ensure we have sufficient lanes for each shift. Submit advance entries with payment (check only, payable to Tuscaloosa USBC) to front desk at either Leland Lanes or Bama Lanes to be placed in the Association mailbox. Entry form is on the back of this form. Any questions, call Bob Gambrell at 759-5867 or Kathy Pugh at 792-2533. Entry deadline is 30 minutes before squad time.
Basic participation rules
Participation is open to male and female members of the Tuscaloosa USBC Association. All members must have joined an association league at least 15 days prior to bowling.
Multiple entries are permitted for team, doubles and singles. Bowlers may place more than once in each event only if conditions in USBC Rule 315b are met.
ALL-EVENTS: If participating in all events for prize money, the bowler’s all-events entry fee must be paid before bowling his/her first event. A bowler’s first appearance in each event counts toward the all-events score.
In order to bowl in only singles or only doubles, you must first bowl in both events at least once.
Average requirements
Tournament entering average is the bowler’s highest 2006-2007 sanctioned league average of 21 games or more. 10-pin rule applies: If current average of 21 games or more, as of 1 January 2008, exceeds last year’s highest average by 10 pins or more, bowler will enter with current average in accordance with USBC Rule 319a. A bowler without a 2006-2007 sanctioned league average must use the highest current sanctioned league average of 21 games or more as of 1 January 2008. All others will bowl scratch.
Handicap will be based on 90% of 210.
This tournament will be conducted in accordance with USBC rules except as modified by tournament rules.
